About Abby

Hello, reader.

Same girl, new chapter.

Abby Bellamy writing in a notebook

A little about me

Abby Bellamy writes romance about capable women, men worth the trouble, and the small towns that have opinions about both. She grew up reading paperbacks under the covers with a flashlight and still believes the best stories end with a happily ever after, preferably one that involves a little banter along the way.

Abby lives on an island in Washington's Puget Sound with her husband, a rescue dog who thinks he's a lap dog, and two cats who tolerate them all. When she isn't writing, you'll find her racing to catch the ferry for coffee with friends, overpacking for road trips, or making a strong case that there's always room for one more pet.

Island girl.
Ferry commuter.
Chronic overpacker.
Always room for one more pet.

Where it began

One night under a very big sky

A trip through Montana, and one unforgettable night under a sky so big it practically begged for a love story, inspired Abby's debut series, The Big Sky Theory.

The result is Silver Creek, a town of about 1,800 people just off I-90, where the Fourth of July rodeo is the social event of the year and everyone has an opinion about your love life.

Short bio

Abby Bellamy writes romance about capable women, men worth the trouble, and the small towns that have opinions about both. She lives on an island in Washington's Puget Sound with her very patient husband, a rescue dog who thinks he's a lap dog, and two cats who are definitely in charge. When she's not writing, she's reading, traveling with a suitcase she can barely zip, or plotting her next adventure with friends.
